Short update
But don't worry I haven't forgotten this site and while I may not be always on this site I have not abandoned it.
FanExpo 2016
I'm going to be at FanExpo!!!! This year I will be sharing table A372 with my good friends Kiddo1311 and Morphinerx
Many of the prints I'm selling can be seen in my gallery and I've turned a few into bookmarks. I'll also be selling my one of a kind handmade notebooks and a few surprises that I'll be posting soon.
So if your going to be at FanExpo in Toronto (Sept 1st-4th), swing by the table and say hello check out our art and maybe take something home.

Con season...maybe not
On the subject of projects and uploads, I decided to separate my art work from my hand made crafty art. Now all my crafty art like my dress forms and jewellery will be found on Mirrored-Illusions (I did this because of a suggestion when applying for art related jobs). I also decided to set up an Instagram account.mirrored.illusions Just putting up some sketches fun stuff. Please check them out. Since I upgraded my phone it's much easier to edit my photos and post almost immediately.
Speaking of phones I made the mistake of downloading Kingdom Hearts unchained. I haven't been able to stop playing the game. So addictive, but now I need to upgrade the memory on my phone. Between the game, the apps and the photos I've maxed out my very limited memory.
2015-2016
Glad 2015 is over. It was a rough year. Unfortunately I spent far too much of it unemployed and to add to that pain I started 2016 unemployed (Just gotta love getting laid off at the beginning of December). So while I have time on my hands I spend it looking for a job (not off to a good start - 15 CV's out the door and 15 thank you but no thank you's). Seems like getting work in the artistic fields is getting harder and harder. I have a few friends in the same boat.
I've truly come to understand the phrase 'starving artist' these past few years. So now I'm considering a career change. Don't know what I'll end up doing. Going to take the rest of the month to weigh my options. Hopefully my luck will change.
In the meantime I've got time on my hands and I decided to play around with more traditional media. Dust off those painting skills and see happens.

How long have you been on DeviantArt? Almost 9 years
What does your username mean? It's a contradiction much like myself.
Describe yourself in three words. This is difficult because I generally don't put myself first, here goes nothing... contradictory, ancient (well my soul is), mysterious
Are you left or right handed? Ambidextrous I can use both hands equally well. I also use my feet on occasion.
What was your first deviation?
Surfer marker/digital pic of a surfer. It wasn't anything special and looking back I can see a lot of flaws in it but overall I was happy to post this Pic.What is your favourite type of art to create? I draw mainly in an anime style but lately have been working on 3D art like jewellery and key chains. So I guess I'm all over the map at present.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? 3D animation (I'd love to work for Dreamworks of Disney) So far I can only animate in 2 dimensions but I'll get there.
What was your first favourite? Butterfly girl by xa-xa-xa
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Mostly animation and anime
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? That's like asking which arm I prefer or which sense is the best. I can't choose...
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? Someone who seems to have made an excellent career from her art and whose brain I'd like to pick Loish
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? I always feel better when I post a new peice of art and get feedback on it. Everything form the positive to constructive criticism always makes me feel like I'm improving and my work is appreciated.
What are your preferred tools to create art? I like to draw in animator blue pencil and in a sketchbook. Then I'll clean up the drawing in ink (sometimes and sakura pen sometimes ball point pen-usually black) then I'll scan the pic and colour in Photoshop using my Wacom tablet. Old school but I get the best results with little frustration.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? In my comfy chair in my room, or at my drawing table.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? The realization that I not only had page views but comments and followers. It made me feel like I was no longer creating art in a fish bowl and that my art was relevant.
